I’m pretty much glad to see November go. The past two weeks have been challenging, and while the next three prove to be even more challenging, at least I get to enjoy my Christmas trees and lights and hot chocolate and cookies and… well, you get the picture.
I finished NaNo just shy of 30,000 words. Not exactly where I had hoped to be, but not bad either. As for the story itself… I’m not happy with it. It changed so much from my original plan and I’m not sure if that’s for the better or not, but I’m glad I wrote it. It was one of those things I needed to write first to find the true conflicts and motivations.
Overall, I think I’m going to take a writing break in December. I want to focus on getting my life in order before 2011 hits.
That is of course, unless I get some news on any of my submissions. =) Have I said that enough yet?
