I have this little pet peeve that is really pretty silly. In the grand scheme of things, it doesn’t matter, but as a writer this one thing really bugs me.
I hate when people put quotes from movies/books on Facebook/Twitter/websites et cetera and credit the character as the person having said them. This is a silly writer’s opinion, but no matter how real that character has become, the writer is the one you should credit those words to. They wrote those words the character uttered. Margaret Mitchell wrote everything Rhett Butler said. They’re her words, not his.
LOL, I don’t think I have noticed this but I agree that would bug me quite a bit 🙂
