I just entered two more contests this week, but one I am going to point out here because I think it’s a great thing to enter in light of SYTYCW.
Romance Junkies Contest winners get a critique from a Carina Press editor. Note, this is not about getting published, it’s about getting feedback. Many people are bemoaning that they don’t get feedback when submitting, so they don’t know how to fix it to give a publisher what they want.
Well, here is your chance to get some feedback to see what mistakes you might have been making. There’s also a contest for readers as well if you’re a little burnt out on writing contests.
Either way, I would check it out. Contests like this or like RWA chapter ones are a great way to get some feedback on your writing. (CPs are also a good way to do that, but I currently don’t have any, boohoo).
