Even though my school is on winter break this week, and it would be the ideal time to get some writing done, I am focusing on something else.

My House.

My kid.

I love the new year and getting ready for it and the promise of starting “over”.  Because my son is turning one tomorrow, because I am still 10 pounds heavier than when I found out I was pregnant, because 2011 is going to be another year of gigantic changes in my life, I have given myself permission to take a break from writing and get myself ready for the new year.

  1. Aw congrats on your son turning the big 1! I’m making some big changes to my health too 🙂 I was watching something the other day and it said that statistically health resolutions are the one’s that most often fail because people generalise too much. So, instead of saying you want to exercise more you need to have a plan such as “you will walk for thirty minutes a day”. If only resolutions came with a manual… 😉

    • Lacey, I am going to definitely have to use that. I always say I want to eat better and exercise more, but it never gets done and it makes sense that it’s because I am being extremely vague. I need to be more specific… thanks for that!
